In a state that has over 3,000 wineries it is difficult to know all but the biggest and most famous, but some of the best are the not so widely recognized. Come with us as we explore some of the lesser known regions, some young, some not so young, that exist throughout the state.

There are few wine regions in the world that can compare to the complexity and variety of experiences found in California. From live volcanoes to ocean vistas; from the high mountains to the delta sloughs; great grapes are being grown in almost every environment.

This makes for some unbeatable travel adventures for the wine enthusiast. We will talk not only about the wineries, but some of the other activities, places we stayed and if we find places to eat that also offer a decent wine selection.

So, check back often and see where we have been recently and what we found, it should be a great time!
